Do you "salute" other bikers? - Page 5 - SV650.org

I intend to nod but it comes out as a lifting of my head, like a backward nod, I think I must be subconsciously doing an eyebrow raise type thing, like monkeys do as a greeting, I've seen it on the telly, we are all naked apes you know. I'll have to practice my nods in the mirror.

Always give a nod, flash or a wave just to be friendly. Not to chavs on peds though.

I wave to everyone..................if they don't acknowledge, that's their problem, not mine. It won't stop me from doing it.

do you nod with head tipping forward, or sideway sort of up or straight up like old jack. not found one i particularly like or feel comfortable with. I always smile of course, which is not a lot of good with a full face helmet and visor down. last year I took to raising index finger on right hand, but as I have wee fat fingers, probably no one noticed lol

Mine's normally a sideways head tilt thing.

On the flipside, when a car pulled out in front of me a few months ago I gave him a v sign with my left hand...unfortunately I was wearing my HG Pathan 2 finger gloves, so didn't really have the desired effect

I do the 'cheeky wink' nod. You know, the angled nod that suggests I quite like them and wanna meet them in the toilets at the next services.

Trying to find a new nod now, after a harley rider gave me a wink, pursed his lips, u-turned and started following me.

Only on Sundays - then its the wassssssup head lift (upwards)... nods are for commuters and the side tilt for chavs
