Going to the eXcel MCN show tomorrow
![]() The show starts at 10am ... I am trying to work out what times I REALLY should avoid the M25... So for the M25 regulars, what is my best window? I was thinking of hitting the M25 at say 7:30am in the hope it will be quieter ... but that might be the worst time for all I know and I am better off hitting it at 9am???? HELP!! ![]() Last edited by Blue_SV650S; 31-01-08 at 11:25 AM. |

To be honest it's about the same from 06:30 to about 11:00.
I tried lots of different combo's and never found a pattern at that time of the morning. |

Agreed, A25.
Its gonna take you longer, but its a fairly nice road. Takes you through some nice villages. |

I appreciate that I will get traffic ... but I don't mind rolling along at say 50mph, I just want to avoid stop-start type congestion as that is horrid!
![]() oh and A25 is slow and annoying if you are trying to get somewhere!! ![]() Last edited by Blue_SV650S; 31-01-08 at 12:34 PM. |

You should be fine then. The only time it was horrid for me was Friday evenings from 4pm onwards.

I do A3 (Jn 10) + M25 every day
Are you going to be on the bike or car ? You'll have heavy traffic from Guildford onwards, but it will be moving although very slow at that time - I usually hit Jn 10 around 7:30 to 8:00. Once you're on the M25 you should be OK as it's usually pretty free flowing in that direction, although will be busy, especially as you get nearer Jn 2 If you're on the bike you'll be laughing, as long as you don't mind filtering for 50 miles ![]() Don't forget to wave as you go past ![]() ![]() |

I usually find that Friday mornings are the quietest time of the week, so I'd guess you'll be reasonably OK.
