Without going in to it too much so as not to confuse me any more, can one of our resident clever people please read my suspension setup notes in case I've misunderstood something and am likely to damage myself.
I've omitted sag as I'll have to get a mate to help me do that one and I'm pretty sure it's ok as is for the moment. Please only comment if you know about suspension setup. P.S. Not SV but Daytona. Thanks peeps. ![]() Rebound (Speed at which bike comes back up): First set compression to half way through range. Set rebound to high number (bouncy) and push down. If it comes up past normal resting point, increase until it stops at proper resting point. Bounce it so it takes one second to come to stop. If it takes more than a second reduce it, less than a second increase it. Too stiff rather than too soft. Ride the bike and see how it feels. Compression (How fast suspension can compress or stiffness): Back out to 3/4 range and ride. Wind in to 1/4 range and ride. Adjust accordingly. |

I'm far from expert, but my settings are my own, and I can dial out some issues.
2/3 out etc only helps if someone here has ridden and setup a Daytona 675 before and rides like you. Somone else will be unlikely to hand you "THE BEST SETUP". Start from manufacturer's base settings. Make one change at a time. I wrote a big long post but basically you want to follow something like this: http://www.gostar-racing.com/club/mo...ion_set-up.htm Or chat to Ian when you're next at soho, he will probably explain the same thing in about 1/4 of the words and make it sound simpler.

I've exchange millions of PMs with Rictus on the subject now. Who put a 5000 character limit on the PMs?! He advised me the same as you Jambo. Gonna get the tyres on, scrubbed in and then follow the Wise One's writings. I'll have a read of your thread too.
Thanks. ![]() |
