Default alphadot - new bike

Hi guys,

Picked up my SV yesterday, sounds lovely! Really pleased. the guy at george whites says that new suzuki's no longer come with Alphadot security. Is this the case?

Bit annoyed so if this is right, how hard is it to do it yourself?

Don't think my K6 has got an alphadot on it either. Not sure TBH.

Haven't put one on my bike myself, so I don't know, but I'd imagine it's just a case of sticking the things on.

Its a kind of paint/glue stuff, much like a touch up pen. You just dab it on to every pannel, part that you can think of on your bike where you cant see it, and thats about as difficult as it gets.

Never sure if its worth having. Its much like datatag, and smar****er type technology. Only good if your bike gets knicked and sold for parts.

Ok, cheers for the advice. Going to get a cyclone alarm like baph has. Gonna get the 60 quid version with force field technology!

The whatty alarm?

I was looking at Alarms, have an Oxford GSI Immobilizer, but nothing noisemaking. I like making noise, but for £300 quid a pop I could probably employ someone poor to stand next to the bike whenever I park it.

It's a cyclone c11 bike alarm. From reading baph and danf1234's posts they're very impressed for the price. Try here

speak to baph on here, he knows lots about these or do a search for cyclone on here, lots of info! I'm going for the £64 quid one as it has the microwave detector that bleeps when any scrot comes near the bike!
