Cbt's a doddle for most, it's just a formality, the best way to describe it is that it's a 'taster' to see if your really up for biking. When i did my cbt, 2 people never came back after lunch! also 3 dropped out during my direct access just becasue they dropped the learner cbf500!.
After riding the sv for over 3 years now i would love to have a shot of the cb125 at the place where i did my test just to see how much of a woos i was trying to do all the manouveres on my cbt (keep that foot up and ride the clutch etc..), pretty sure i could chuck that little thing about now!. So think very carefully and if you know in your heart that you want it then go for it.

Give the CBT a go and if afterwards you decide it's not for you then you'r only £90 down.

Before you do a CBT, how about you and/or your husband gets hold of a bike that you can go to a private place and spend time getting used to the controls of the machine? This way, you will have the basics down before you go into the CBT, and have more chance of passing on the day. Although its not too difficult, it is possible to fail if you dont show enough competance! I spent my early teens riding clapped out bikes on local feilds. I didnt ride regularly, but it was enough for me to be familier when I got to doing my first CBT, which i got through easily.

If you want a bike, then go and get one, the only person who is telling you that can't do it is you.
With the right frame of mind you can get over any difficulties you come across, Positive mental attitude is all thats required. You can do it ![]() I spent years wanting a bike, and when I did finally pass my test I regreted not doing it earlier, better to try than continually think what if.
