Did they give you a receipt for it?
Also, sure it's not actually been received, and the purchaser isn't trying to pull a fast one? |

5 days isn't long for a first class parcel, all bets are off it seems if it's not letter shaped, tell him to wait a while. Also, tell them to check local depot, they had a parcel I sent someone but hadn't put a delivery failure note through his door.
You have to claim (up to £30 or so) but you need your postal receipt and RM won't entertain a claim for at least 30 days or something like that. |

i find this is the common one, i find it hard to see how a parcel can get lost but the public are first to blame the royal mail, as been said standard parcels automaticly insure for £30, when you post something of value £100 insurance is only £1, you will need your recipit but the royal mail are like any other company they dont make the process easy, i'd wait a few more days.

They don't, claims are so minimal tho they can certainly live with losing the odd £30, hell they lose £4 million a week don't they?

i had to make an ebay claim recently they have changed the policy they now have a box to tick for ebay claim on the form, wait 15 days as they don't class an item lost before then, ask for a form at the PO and need a copy of paypal transaction and item number for the ebay item, it's easy to make the claim, before they used to refund postage as well but now i'm not sure they do i think they just refund the cost of the item

Royal Mail loses 500000 items of post a week! I've had so many things stolen it's beyond a joke. My mum had to stop using them for her business too. Less then half of her post she sent arrived.
