...the weather's great, the Hairnet's clean and shiny with a full tank of fuel, I have no domestics that need doing, I'm fed, watered, bright eyed and bush-tailed.......

.....and can't go out to play coz I'm on-call

can you not take your phone with you, and stay pretty local?

What do you do for a living then? Are you a live human donor that is on call for an emergency kidney or something?

Thought about that but, unfortunately, I have shed-load of kit that goes with the job, everything from legal notices and case-files through to warfirin and rat-catching kit/poison.

I'm supposed to be providing an emergency response so riding home after getting a call, putting the bike away and getting changed isn't really on. I'm paid to be on standby as well as getting overtime for the work I do.

Besides, I'd prefer to get out into the hills/countryside......

As you will guess from the above, EHO.

Cover the whole of Cardiff when on-call and there's only one of Duty Officer out-of-hours.

Been on-call since Monday, get off at 9:00am this coming Monday.
