Jas...
for the record my dad was a fitter, my mam was a sewing machinist and i went to a good old fashioned comprehensive school. Studied for best part of 10yrs whilst working in some of the roughest clubs in Hull as a barman 4 nights a week....

but thats besides the point.....

my personal views on immigration is, if there's a skills shortage and people come to the country to fill that gap - thats fine. After all thats what I am doing in Dubai.

If it starts putting people British people out of work, then thats not on. Maybe a tougher immigration like say Oz, where it is skills based is required.

I would like to include the following items to my manifesto:

A minimum tolerance to the folowing would be adopted:

Drunkenness in public will involve heavy fines and the individual banned for 12 months from entering in to any establishment that serves alcahol. They will be tagged with a special piece of equipment that would make an audible "beep" when entering such an establishment.

Anyone found driving under the influence of any kind of drug or alcahol will immediately receive a lifetime driving ban and heavy fine.

Anyone found driving dangerously, causing an accident injuring others will have license withdrawn indefintely a minimum 3 year jail term and heavy fine.

Those responsible for the death of any other person either under the influence of substances or not, will have license withdrawn, all assets seized and used as part compensation for the family of the victim and a whole life jail term.

Anyone found carrying any recognised offensive weapon will be jailed for a minimum term of 5 years.

Anyone found carrying or using any offensive weapon to carry out a crime or use said weapon on any innocent individual will receive a whole life jail term.

Certain peoples posts on this thread demonstraight this clearly. People need to stop looking for someone else to blame.

yes a lot of people in the UK are beconming rude and ignorent, maybe because they have seen that being polite and tollerent of other people has seen them get taken advantage of, looked over for minority groups and generally had their government allow to much PC nonsence get everywhere.

So forgive them for being a little disillusioned. what is the point of being polite and accepting if the people who come to the UK are not with us??

I cant be bothered arguing with you, i just dont agree wit hyour stance on it so i am not going to argue with you.

i would hate for you to think i was rude and ingnorant.

My GF's mum lost her husband a few years back. He had worked since he was 14, paid a pension, and died shortly before retiring....

Because she is more than 10 years younger than him, she got nothing.......

Their son has just gone to Uni, they have removed her tax credits for being a single mum...

Now the law has changed, and they have stopped all credits. So now she is getting £300 a month, TOTAL to live on and run the house. HEr husband had worked for 50 odd years, and she gets nothing.

Because she was a house wife and doubltfull will qualify for state pension, she will get nothing from that.

Meanwhile, Mr Immirgrant gets a house, a car, a phone, all for free. They get to claim benefits for children back in their own country, without having to provide any real evidence......

Tell me whats fair in that????

There are people who have come to work and start a new life. No problems with these people, they pay their ways. Its those who have come over to sponge, can't speak english, and really don't care about changing to our livestyles, which is what you should do when moving to another country. This is a nanny state though, the government are becoming dictators, telling us what we can and cannot do. We ammend our lifes for everyone else, (muslims, racism yadder blah) instead of them changing their lifestyles to ours....

As said, grass isn't always greener. Im about to read the rest of this post (p3+), but the compromise is finding another country... Where to go? Aus is in the middle of no-where, same goes for New Zeland.. Can't go to the USA, love the country, hate the people and government. Can't go to most of Europe without learning another language?

Canada maybe? But then everyone says its boring? But not heard anyone say any real disadvantages yet?

This country is all wrong, its getting worse. The government has made it this way by giving all our hardworking tax paying money to the scum. Labour have paid the poor to arm themselves like they are today.

Thanks, whilst you're here, can you cheekily point some of those posting "with emotion" to the "smell checker."
