Okay so let me fill you in on the event of last Thursday

Was at a meeting at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield at the UK HEART meeting where a bunch of Cardiologists and support staff were discussing Heart related issues. ( Yes some Irony in there somewhere but I fail to see it)

Anyway missed lunch and came back to find lots of cheese and busicuits with fruit lying around so thought why not, stuffed face with said cheese and busicuits only to come across a soft purpley/Pink cheese that tasted like sour milk eeerrgghhhh

On route home started feeling like and could'nt hold it in so was sick 3-4 times in the car driving at 70 mph on the A41! Got home and carried on for atleast another hour until there was no energy left in me and the 11th/12th time after my chest hurt like I was being squashed in a vice, got daughter to call her mum who called an ambulance etc....

Finally made to it Harefield Hospital after the Ambulance men could'nt decide Which hospital to go to, got prepped for an Emergency Angiogram and the x-ray machines packed up! atleast they had a spare Angio suite, finally got sorted around 8:00pm and I've lived to tell the tale.

Thankyou all for all your kind thoughts and get well wishes, I don't know of any other internet community that really does care about it's members even if they have never met before.

If your ever round Tring way drop by for a cuppa

Excuse my thickness, but the cheese thing is coincidental right? I mean it wasn't that which caused the ol ticker to miss a beat or two?

Have you been given any sort of time scales? When will you be able to leave the house and drive and stuff? Jo's boss had a heart attack a few weeks ago and he's had his licence taken off him for a year.

She's worried about you now as well.

The Cheese made me puke so violently over a period of 2 hours or more which caused too much stress on my heart and a little cholesterol plaque broke away and lodged in one of my arteries causing the heart attack.

No Driving or housework or anything to raise my Heart Rate quickly for 4 weeks, then I can start a 6 week Rehabilitation course and 2 weeks after that a phased return to work so I expect to be fully back at work by October but out and about on the bike by mid August. Tell Jo Thankyou for thinking of me but there is no need to worry.

Yes it was scary especially as the chest pain just would not go away but did feel at one point that my guts were gonna come through my mouth that's how strong my stomach contractions were! And that is what casued the plaque to break.
