Anyone ever used them and are they any good? I have one and will be fitting it tonight and was wondering what (if anything) to expect. My old filter is pretty dirty so i hope it will be a bit better.

Yes, but you need to rejet for them (there may be a snorkelled one that requires no rejetting)
They are however a good investment as you only ever need to buy one of them, you can clean and reoil them.

Would some dyno time not solve the problem? My filter has been de snorkeled and it has a slight hesitation mid band then it all goes silly the more you nail it,

That will tell you were the problem is, it won't solve it. You will most likely need to rejet to suit the BMC.
Oh... yes the are great filters and as Chris said you will never need to buy another again. Which filter did you get, Road, Race, or the special RS? |

Correct, well it varies whether you need a rejet as some bikes do some bikes don't. Plus you never know what has gone on under the tank before you got it.
The Road filter still breathes better than the OEM, you need to ride it and see what you think. If it feels down or strangled then I would say a quick dyno run will discover what needs doing. |

Presumably the rejet will give the bike some more grunt but not any more ponies? It might be worth doing it any way if its not too expensive to do.

Engine hates it and now wont rev past 5k revs without being strangled. Is this likely to be expensive to have the dyno time and rejet. I have no clue as i have never had to have it done before. Serves me right for being nieve and thinking you could just put an aftermarket filter on and for it to work!
