Default Which Bike - VFR,R850R or Z750

Having sold the SV I need to decide which bike to move onto.

I am having real trouble making a decision, as I really like each of the bikes for different reasons.

The choice is VFR 800 or BMW R850R or Kawasaki Z750.....

Anyone got one/experience of any of them - been without a bike for nearly a month now and gagging to get back on.

All advice gladly appreciated

VFR without a doubt, best looking of the bunch by a mile. Best tourer which I assume you want it for, honda build quality, amazing engine.

No contest in my eyes.

Not tried the GXSR - wanted a bit more of a tourer or a streetfighter....think the insurance might be a bit ott for a gixer as well

I'd go for the GSXR750 out of all of them myself; obviously it wasn't on the list but it's supposedly the best all round bike. Someone mentioned a touring test done on a VFR (IIRC) and a 750 and the 750 won it- bar the tank range.

VFR, mines brilliant. Get the pre Vtec one, they're easier than the Vtec

I've ridden a VFR VTEC- was utterly sold on it. Gorgeous bike and importantly, well comfy for long journeys.

I'll jump in ehre and give a shout-out for the GSXR750 aswell, its not a bad bike. The position is a little more racey than an SV, bit not as extreme as other sports bikes. Its a half-decent comprimise. Fuel economy isnt that bad. My dad has comfortably toured on his GSXR.

I'd love a 1997 VFR750 though, with gear-driven cams and a stubbied exhaust for those Tunnel Moments
