1st:- K1 Yellow curvy s. Sold to Jimmy Gulp and still in daily use?
Now K2 yellow curvy, full fairing and Micron system. Also K1 black naked with an aftermarket fairing, significantly lowered. (Thinking of selling, fancy a 400 or a 650 Raptor.) |

still have two actually, one served me very well for just over a couple of years and 153,000 miles, the other has served as spares for a load of people over the years and will never be a whole bike again.
Foot note:- my original is being build up by Michelle, so should be back on the road next spring sometime after laying about for 4 years, shes got the engine in and running already (sweet 4k lump). ![]() Cheers Mark.

Got mine new in 2002 and still loving it!
No it's not the biggest or the badest or the newest.... But .. It's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than it is to ride a fast bike slow. And I generally frail the little SV for all she's worth....and she likes it. I could afford something newer, bigger, etc. but I tend to like all my bikes better after I've had them for 10,000 miles or so. After that the riding gets easier...less thinking and more reacting as both the bike and I seem to know what to expect of each other.

True but I was not comparing it to other SS600's I am saying it IS 100% better than the SV at EVERYTHING.

I've still got it, and I think I'll always have it. Sometimes I get annoyed with it and want to trade it in for something else. Then it uses its V-twin charms against me and I fall back in love with it.
I'm still going to get an SV1000 though, but as a second bike when me and maria get a place of our own Viney, i think you are right about the SV being the best london bike. Its not such an extreme sporty riding position that your body aches after 2 minutes of filtering, and with the added fairing it makes going down the north circ at 60mph comfortable. |
