yes they can but it was already violent in other area's therefore there was potential it could have turned that way. if they let them 2 people get away with it then others would have tried getting through. Its better for them to stop to people while they can then having to stop 1000's of people later when they are rioting

And I think, from reading a couple of posts from one I respect on this site, he was at the protests in the calmer group, but, one person came shouting 'lets storm Oxford Street'. The general consensus to that bloke was f### off. But there will be others that were like-minded.

It serves her right. You want to be aggressive then you deserve everything you get. They must have a hard enough job nevermind in a situation like that.

it makes about as much sence as preemptive non-agression employed by the US.
