It's good innit. When I lived in Newbury that was my favourite road.

It's dangerous though. The conditions can change very quickly even from morning to afternoon. The local farm machinery can throw mud and gravel all over the roads in the corners. When ever I do the route I'll take a moderate paced recce before doing it again.

yep v nice road indeed, even cycled to wantage couple of years ago cause i was bored and thought id see my nan and grandad. plus good pub there to called the lamb.

Haven't strayed so far from Faringdon on the bike to go that side of Wantage. Might check it out at some point

Bet you say "Blimey!" at some point along it or possibly "Crikey" if you are so inclined. It's a crackin' little bit of road. Make sure you do it before someone goes and covers it in 50mph signs, average speed cameras and speed humps.

That is in the planning I believe. There have been many accidents and deaths on that road. Mainly bikers but also a few cars have left the road.
