To put it into perspective:

- You have an injury that wont really allow you to make full use of the bike for longer rideouts
- The bad weather is coming
- Your confidence is down and you need lots of riding to pick it up

Therefore in my humble opinion for what it's worth, SORN and wrap Zuky up.

Next year when you have less pressures of: time/weather/injury you can get her back on the road, ride out in the warmth at your leisure with friends and build up your confidence with no pressure or time limit.

If you do carry on riding her this year,it will only be a couple of months before you will garage her for the winter and then it will be a few months before you start riding her again and your confidence that you worked so hard to build up now will be lost.

+1 - also with Spidey (see, we do agree on occasions!!)

Shelly

I know you said money is tight but I am sure you could find 6 months worth of tax. That way in a few weeks when the weather is good and you can get out on her when not on shift you can have some fun. I am sure you would be really p1ssed off to wrap her up then find that summer is just around the corner.

WTF!!!

Who am I kidding - SORN her and wrap her up for now.

Is it still insured? I'm sure road tax is a small proportion of the cost of the insurance. In which case cancel the insurance and bolt her down or change to one of those that prevent theft if you dont intend to ride.

My view is that having the option to ride is better than not. What is it about the rain that stops you from riding? Maybe get some better water proofs? Sort out a set of clothing at work? I know I sometimes question why I decide to ride in some of the monsoon rain we get down here

If money is a major factor then do it and save where you can! If its the principle I'm sure mr darling already has ways of removing money from your pocket.

£60 on the road fine if caught by the plod. The DVLA can send stuff through the post from their database.

Thats why its' always best to SORN and retax. The Police will give ytou the £60 for failing to display whereby the DVLA will give you for the fine for not Sorning and not having tax.

Fexk it I just been hand 9hrs overtime and time and half on Sunday so I am gonna give her 6 more months then put her to bed.
