Computer genius', help me!

ok this is the simple one to try (if ure ok with pc internals) take the hdd out plug it in to ure pc (most probs standard sata leed) boot using ure desktops windows (make sure it has antivirus + spyware then run a scan on the desktop and it will also scan the drives atached(infected one) and it will remove the problem program, i have done this tones with my mums + gf laptop, the just plug back in to lap top and hey presto

barwel - Didn't need to do this thankfully, as my desktop is packed away for a pending move, and I don't have a caddy to be able to plug it into my laptop. Managed to get it working well enough, by deleting some files, then managed to get Spybot installed to delete some more, with Avast's boot scan getting the little buggers that re-instal the virus!

Laptop now working, and it only took me until 4am!

and now make a full back up and store it in another place so next time you can simply restore it.

Privacy centre's a nob to get rid of, search for the thread 'I have a trojan spying on me' and follow my advice on the last page. If that doesn't work you'll probably have to manually remove the program, unnassociate dll's, and uninstall registry entries.

Editops a bit late. Keep an eye on your machine keep doing scans.
