answer by google *rant*

right i ve started to notice that there has been quite a bit of answering by google going on especially in the tech and bike sections.

for the unaware answering by google is =reading the op then just googling for the answer and posting it with no personal knowledge about the subject,

why do it, im sure the origanil poster if they have managed to get onto the org sign up and post, understand the use of google themselves.

but what really grinds my balls is when said responder the veriantly defends there post after when someone with experiance and 1st hand knowledge corrects them, you dont know they do ,you just googled it which does not make you a ****ing expert cos you can read

if i dont know the answer to a question i dont answer the op, if i do i do its that simple , so why do certain people on this forum think that they are the authority of ****ing everything, tbh some i think just like to jump in and go look at me

so for the love of god would said individuals just for once shut the **** up, cos all your doing is destroying one of the major points of the org, which is somewhere to ask SOMEONE WHO KNOWS how to fix ,rectify, or advise on any given subject

so at my count i currently (god knows how) have 0 infactions or telling offs from mods against my name, so now im willing to run up a few ,cos if this carries on i am just going to sit and destroy said posters with my charm and witty intalect,

so to recap IF YOU DONT KNOW THE ANSWER SIT DOWN AND SHUT THE **** UP

ah the mighty lozzo speaks yes thankfully youve been at this game a while so will not be "lead down the garden path" by some of these replys that could dupe a less knowledgable biker or in some cases complete newbies
not all of use are as worldly my friend

I have heard that students are using goggle in their work as well, with quotes and references. I wonder how many are getting it wrong...

I came in here expecting some sort of Google service that gives you an answer in "Rant" form , I had images of "He who must not be named when a repeat thread happens" ... standing there in a Brown uniform , spraying spittle at the screen with bulging eyes and all pointy armed and stuff . I know nothing, and I really mean nothing (got confused about how to take battery out of bike) about the technical workings of a bike...I tend to stay out of that section unless I have broken something and my mechanic (I mean uncle) has asked me to ask a question!!

thats asking a question not answering them
and im not just talking about tech questions it fing everything from legal to medical to how to tie shoe laces

Just making the point I don't do the google thing..I would probably get it wrong even if I did google it and post something in japanese...!

It does sometimes get my goat when me, RH, VT, Shell, Bluepete etc are all saying the same thing and someone tries to tell us we are all wrong because they know better. Fair enough if they have the credentials to do so!
