SDC also make a subframe to fit the CBR1000RR seat unit on the curvy SV which they retail at 160 quid but they do stick up in the air a bit.
Fantastic, cheers for the info. Just trying to work out ideas for my bike but that's another thread!

Hmmm, having thrown it down the road[1] on the left that looks a little vulnerable in a spill, now OK the crash bung broke off[2] but see the frame scuffage?

[1] Well, track, gooseneck@cadwell in 2006.
[2] Old style R&G's, worked find for the first crash, the second crash on the left (and possibly the kerb) ripped it out.

Yes I've looked at it but I'm thinking that if I extend the crashbung it will just make it weaker in a spill, to be honest its a trackbike so I dont mind a scuffed frame but I dont want a bent frame. Also my crashbung is further forward that the R+G ones that were on yours

Er no, those are the _new_ style ones, my point wasn't to extend the crash bung ore preventing frame scuffage but that IMO you run a risk of squashing your electrics in a spill.

This is how the old bungs fitted btw (or rather the remains).

And how they were on the bike
