I've had an old micro SD card knocking about the house, not sure where it came from or if I've ever used it.
Tried it in my Sansa Clip+ Mp3 player but I can't add anything to it. I've tried formatting it, but still no luck. Any help appreciated thanks ![]() |

They're cheaper than chips anyway. Especially if it's an old one

![]() ![]() ok, so recommendations where to buy & what size to get? I guess the bigger you get has economies of scale then it starts getting ridiculously expensive for the higher capacity. The player accepts up to 16GB (it has 2Gb internal) I was thinking 4 or 8 ![]() |

I always get the max the device can handle but it's up to you. I just got a 8gb off amazon for about £15

I fancy 3x 4GB for £10, http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Micro-SDHC...Card---Class-6 but it's out of stock. It was an offer, so does that mean it won't be repeated? |

I've had them in a similar state before, and it can sometimes depend on the device you're using to format them with.
Option 1. Try to format it in a camera. Option 2. Place card in card slot on PC (if you have one), alternatively this will probably work with usb drive too. 1. Start > Run > cmd 2. Type DISKPART 3. Type LIST DISK identify the faulty disk. Disks will be listed with total sizes of disks, so make sure you get the right one - don't want to go formatting your hard drive ![]() 4. Type SELECT DISK x (where x is the appropriate disk number from step 3.) 5. Type CLEAN ALL 6. Type CREATE PRIMARY PARTITION 7. Type SELECT PARTITION 1 8. Type ACTIVE 9. Type FORMAT FS=FAT32 10. Type ASSIGN 11. Type EXIT If that doesn't work, then yes, it probably is fubar. |
