OK, so I got them today and I have mixed feelings about them. I can see about 30% more which is very good but still not good enough to cover the blind spots. I need to attach the blind spot mini mirrors to which I got so used to. They look perfect on my bike, they actually the same height as the vario screen.

Bad side is they vibrate a lot more compared to the stock ones. Weather I can get used to them or not remains to me seen in the next few weeks. Build quality is ... different. While they look and feel excellent, I have found that the R mirror moves too easily and not sure if it will stay in place for long.

nothing is going to show you a right hand blind spot apart from physically looking or another mirror set up specifically for the purpose.

i to found a little more buzz in the mirrors but not a lot. i could not see up a line of traffic or what was directly behind me with the old mirrors but i can see it now. i admit that yesterday while wearing my overproofs i had to move about a little more to see right behind me and at one stage another rider out with me was close to my left and i could just see part of his bike, but at no time was he hidden like the old mirrors used to do.

oohhh i also find that if i angle them in to much i can see much less.

Surprised you can see anything in your mirrors Maxinc, that top box is big enough to block out the sun isn't it?

No offence, but they are fugly.
Somebody needs to find mirrors off another bike which are longer and adapt them to fit.

Actually I scared myself a few times glancing at my mirrors and mistaken the top box for a car, so yes it is big and it is ugly but practicality wins. It is the best looking box I could find for a SV )

I've been out today on a 70 mile trip on a mixture of roads and I'm still not convinced. The vibration is severe across the rev range and even if I don't really need to read the license plate of the vehicle behind, I'm not sure they are worth the gain. I will keep them a few more days and then switch back the originals for comparison before drawing any conclusions.

I realise this thread is knocking on a bit now, but having finally got an SV, I am really struggling with the mirrors.

I am very wide at the shoulders anyway, and I have struggled to see on every bike I've been on (all 3 of them ) . I carry out shoulder checks and move about to see in the mirrors, but I cannot see anything behind me apart from my shoulders.

Did you ever manage to grow to love the extended mirrors or did you switch back?

I was looking at the 1" extension for the OEM mirrors, but 1" is just not going to cut it for me.

I did look at those, but I think they look absolutely horrible. However, I quite like the look of the extended bars with Suzuki mirrors.

I am ok for overtaking on dual carriageways etc, as I get a view of the outer lane. It's when someone is coming up behind me to overtake that I struggle to see them.

Well I've just been looking over the bike, and the mirror stems were angled too far back. it makes them look more sporty but restricts the view more. I have pushed the stem forward so that they are now pointing almost straight out to the side. I did some checks in the garage and it looks a little better.

I'll take the bike out tomorrow hopefully and see if it's improved on the road. Maybe the 1" spacer will be enough then.
