A9 thru' Helmsdale? - SV650.org

Can someone please explain why google maps refuses to route from Helmsdale (near Brora) to John O'Groats?

There seems to be a wee piece of the A9 missing! Can someone frum up there, please confirm there is a road there? Go onto street view and it magically appears!

Hmmm, just tried it and it shows up ok, both ways. How strange.

Can also confirm its possible to do this route. Dinnae worry, its not the bermuda triangle of the north or anything lol.

Mines does the same Ron but go to street level and its a mass of roadworks. It might be because of the new roundabout and google not having it updated.

I really do like the look of that hairpin just north of Helmsdale.

well done you have found the local sheep post, this is where the locals tie up a sheep and have their wicked way with it. the google map boys are joining in the fun and want to keep it secret.
