Default Exhaust advise

Hi

I have just bought an 05 SV650S and want to purchase a Yoshimura slip on exhaust. My dealer has said that I would be best with a full system but either way I will need a power commander control unit to avoid the bike running lean. On yoshimuras website they say the power commander may be needed. The guys at the shop are basing their advise on experience with a SV1000. Does anyone out there have and experience with the exhaust on a 650 ?. The exhaust I want is the carbon tri-oval with race baffles.

Many thanks

You don't have to spend $600 on a PCIII if you fit a full system. Stick a decent filter in and get a remap for $80.

hello mate,

I've just had the full yoshi tri oval system on my sv650s. Sounds wicked, but with no filter or remap it's lost osme mid range power and feels quite lumpy. If you're gonna go donw the full system route i would advise at least a remap if not a commander.

Default Good Advise

Hey Guys

Thanks for the good advise. I think I will go with the power commander because it can be set back to stock easier if I need a break from the noise by putting the stock system back on. I ordered the exhaust yesterday and P.C will be ordered today along with lower fairings.

Thanks again
