My nephew went to A and E aged 6 with a broken collarbone. He told the nurse that he's in training for Chelsea FC, and he was injured because mummy is rubbish in goal and nanny isn't a very good mid-fielder. It sounded better than 'fell over playing football in the park'. So when the nurses ask what happened don't say you hit a kerb, instead tell them you are in training for the Moto GP and your technical support team (mum and dad) also encountered some logistical problems on the training track. If it works as well as it did for my nephew you'll get a sticker that reads 'I was very brave today at the hospital' and a lolipop!
