I must be missing something. You slate his riding, both to him and on an internet forum. Then you offer to show him how to ride and go for some sort of 'session' with him, yet you don't think your riding is better?

Thanks for the offer but there are three reasons I wouldn't ever ride with you:

1) You think an overtake on a bend that clearly unsettled the person you were overtaking is perfectly ok.

2) Your extreme reaction and abuse when faced with an alternative opinion makes me think you're immature and hot-headed. Both are not really conducive to safe riding.

3) I believe you were actually getting a kick from showing him who was boss, rather than genuinely wanting to keep him safe. I find this arrogant.

Think I'll duck out of this now as we are not going to agree and it looks likely to degenerate.

Safe riding.

This thread is far from a fanzine. As others have posted, it's a pretty good flame thread, for a guy doing what he considered to be the right thing. As I posted above, I wouldn't of done what Plowsie did, but what's done is done.

I have been out & shown other riders some things to work on. More often than not that has happened as a result of us riding, stopping for a chat, and riding. I wasn't doing anything special, but a number of people have picked up tips from my riding. I'm no riding god, just ride a hell of a lot.

I've also ridden behind riders with more experience than me, and picked up some useful pointers just by watching them ride. I don't remember telling anyone "do this" or even being told, it's more a natural progression.

Note leatherpatches, it wasn't only you that has come across as flaming Plowsie in this thread. If those flames were intentional or not, only the people posting them would know.

2) Your extreme reaction and abuse when faced with an alternative opinion makes me think you're immature and hot-headed. Both are not really conducive to safe riding. Fair comment

And you

OK, this might not be totally relevant but I had a dream last night where Plowsie drove a silver vauxhall omega on its side into a restaurant. You don't own an omega do you?
