why parking tickets /fines are half price when you pay within 14 days? Could they do a loyalty card where you get a free fine after five?

2 Things I seriously cant get my head around the existence of:

Illegal immigration
I can see HOW people become illegal immigrants but how do they sustain it. You need ID and home address's to; open a bank account, get a job, drivers licence etc etc etc I just dont get HOW they can get away with living here without some system somewhere saying "STATUS UNRECOGNIZED, DEPORT!"

Why we have exchange rates.
Surely if 1+1=2 and 2+2=4 then maths and thus currency is a uniform thing, I don't see how £1 in uk this week can be worth $2 but next week be worth $1.5.

Supermarkets that continually insult our intelligence.

Some thing is 'half price' one week a £1 (its never been £2 ever ever), then next week its on offer at 2 for £3.

really, these tactics are so 1990's and just irritating.

I don't get where all the money goes when people 'lose' millions on the stock exchange or in these massive trade and crashes we hear about. Where does the lost money go - someone somewhere must have it. Is is stuffed into all of my missing odd socks down the back of an enormous sofa somewhere.

Panda pregnancies. Why all the fuss? Apparently the female panda in Edinburgh zoo might be pregnant. They haven't managed to get her to pee on a stick but are basing this on her being a bit moody. They said they could do an ultrasound but she's not being cooperative and won't let them. When she was in season - for about 40 minutes - earlier in the year the male showed no interest whatsoever so they artificially inseminated her with sperm from him (how did they get him do put it in a jar? Panda porn?) and also from some German panda. She's been gawped at by kids, had her sex life discussed by the world's media, been inseminated by a German and had a fat lazy Scottish male panda showing not interest on the one day every 5 years when she's up for it and they wonder why she's moody!

There are no end of opportunities for people willing to take a lower wage for "cash in hand" work. And the government's checks & balances at point of use for services are non-existent. The NHS for instance has never once asked me to prove my ID...

Markets fluctuate, if your economy is about to go down hill, people would rather not have lots of your currency on them in case it becomes worth slightly less than toilet paper. Similarly if your economy is doing well, having some money in that currency can be a good thing. In a free market anything that can have demand go up and down can have its price fluctuate accordingly.

I have some Italian Lira you can buy at 1980 prices if you like?
