What should I be looking at next, oh wise ones? Pulling the clutch in sounds a tiny bit clunky down near the gearbox, so I suppose there is something amiss with the actual clutch. Any thoughts?
It'll be the bits falling off the frame internals wedging into the gearbox inners. Chances are either your frame will snap next time you go over 65mph or your gearbox will seize first and the resulting rear wheel lockup will cause all sorts of excitement.

Have you tried replacing the oil with unicorn blood yet?

Anyway, just relax and enjoy the ride tomorrow.

I will mate. Everything will be relaxed, except my left hand, which will be disproportionate muscular with it's constant work out (easy! no jokes!).

Defo the clutch itself now, or perhaps clutch pin. Rules out lever and cable and pushy mechanism thing under the sprocket cover. It may just need a good old clean, but that'll have to wait for the winter months.

It's riddled with it!

Just take it to a nice field and shoot it. Maybe condemn his bike too!
