In market terms it's simply a unit of measure. It may or may not be in a single container which may or may not be barrel shaped.

I don't get what on earth you lot are on about..... I especially don't get the point of trying to understand things that I realistically can't change. The world is the way it is, I just focus on the bit around me and enjoy it as much as I can.
