Good stuff, you've proved to be enough of a PITA to them they've had no choice but to do what you'd have expected from them initially its just a shame they're doing it so far down the line. I imagine like anything which goes missing its a case of the longer its gone the less likely it is to get it back as you lost it.

I don't think anyone asked early on but thinking back to when Si had his zxr nicked the other month. Did you do a walk around check of the area, all back streets etc etc?
Its well known on the drz forum for the bikes to be nicked, relocated for a brief time and then collected a few days later. The idea been that with trackers now been fitted the thieves are stashing the bikes (they do the same with cars) basically to see if someone comes to fetch it.
If you find it on a street its zero incriminating for them and they've lost nothing they never had.

You thinking about combining a parking lock with a proximity mine?

A few years back you could get a garage deterrent that used a blank cartridge.....

How about a smart water canister?

Check any white transit quickly.

I think tbh that trackers are the only way to secure your bike these days as there is away round any of the others. Anyone know a good tracker?

I was more thinking a service where if a bike is nicked and left local for the theives to check it isn't tracked, pack the underside of the tank with 20lbs of something energetic and blast them into pate when they come to collect

A company I've dealt with do some fancy business apparently, the dye in some dye bombs has some uniquely "chopped up" plant DNA in it meaning if you set one off and get nicked they can track the exact crime committed.

Lol you still lose your bike that way though, I'd much prefer a method which involved dismemberment but meant I kept my bike.
