Well yeah, I meant that halfway tongue in cheek due to my total p*ss taking of it a few times... but what is the limit, I don't recall seeing it on the v5 like it is for my van but I could be wrong

around 330kg or 51 stone in old money for the SV (IIRC). If memory serves me, the laden weight limit is on the vin plate on the frame

They don't on the V5 (possibly on the MOT they do), but the cop out they use is "as per the manufacturers guidelines"

i read it was between 330kg to 350. And it is also on the VIN plate too.

Think we may have some confusion MGW = bike + rider + passenger + luggage. Bike is about 180Kg so at 330Kg wouldn't leave a lot of wt for luggage when 2 up.

typo on my behalf (now corrected). It doesn't leave much weight at all, and why i changed bikes. I need one that will do 2 up touring easier.

Check & double check the Scottoiler flow rate, especially on hot days as the oil thins and more will come out. As I just found out this week after blasting up to Wales and saw more of the reservoir than I would have expected had been dumped on my chain and flung on to some other parts . I set it much lower and was sorted for the rest of the journey .

Have fun. The bike looks great.
