Carole nash just asked me for my bennetts policy number over the phone, I asked if they wished me to get proof they said no you don't have to ring them or anything.

Because they want another possible "get out clause", the more of those they have, the more chance they have of getting out of paying out.

Oh come on. For decades if you change policy you have needed to prove your NCB. Usually you just need to send them the schedule on your renewal notice for your existing provider. That is sufficient proof.
OK, when I changed from ebike to NCD they were able to get the proof they needed electronically, simply by me providing the old policy number. It really depends on whether your existing policy provider is sharing data electronically. T'is no deal. So why winge. They were obviously cheaper than your old provider. If you don't like having to prove you entitled to a discount. Go back to your old provider

I am insured with e-bike and it was all done electronically? Maybe it is your old insurance company who are not supplying the details? e-bike customer services are pretty good if you get the right person.

Phoned them up ? started off polite, but was fully armed and ready ?
