I have a Fuel Stainless Steel (SS) oval on my bike; I've always had the baffle removed, and have noticed the bike warms up quicker and has smoother throttle response. Also dissapearing is the hesitation i used to get at around 4000 rpm when I opened the throttle. Bearing in mind though my bike is restricted to 33bhp.

personally i do run mine without and have done for about 8 months now. i agree does seem to run more freely, just that recently the engine just seems a bit more ticky over the last few months than it used to be and was a little concerned that i was causing damage to the engine in some way by not having the baffle in, too much air flow ect

My SV always has the baffle in. I'm a good boy, and to take the baffle out would just be irresponsible.

When I put on my full race system (renegade) that has no baffle, it made the engine run lean and caused a LOT of backfiring and flames out the back.

Although it wasn't bad, I did get the fueling on the ECU changed so that there was no way of causing any long-term damage.
