If the camera connected to the laser was pointing out the back of the van, you are prob. ok. AFAIK, the camera in the front is to try to grab the plates of bikes passing the other way.

Good luck 'cos on an open road, those speeds are not unsafe IMO.
Liking that!

Saw one today on the skipton bypass, a transit with a pair of what looked like security cameras on a stick above it, never seen those before, what are they?

There was a police bike next to it and a couple of cars on the roundabout at the end of the bypass

they would be ANPR, the bikes qare there to go after the vehicles that register as hits

they do it on the island every now and again, but have to get hampshire constabulary bikes over as there's only one M/C copper here, and he's been MIA for a few months after someone decided they'd nip into the "empty space" in front of the truck at the roundabout

Now after i had passed the car, i was slowing back down anyway, although if the van did catch me, its irrelevant.

Now the van was pointing towards me with a small camera on the windscreen and the blacked out rear window with another camera at the back...

Now my question is, obviously there is no number plate on the front of a bike so it wouldnt of been able to nick me as i was heading towards it, but would it have a way of checking my speed and then getting my number plate as i went past the back of the van?

This morning i found a nail in my car tyre and after phoning round, the cheapest i can get a new one for is £130 fitted! so ideally i dont want a ******* fine and some points on my licence to go with it!!

****ed off is an understatement, although on the plus side, had a brill 110 mile ride!!

Any help appreciated!!
Can you get car tyres plugged? Both tyres on my have been plugged and surived a track day So why can't a car, you have another 3 wheels so it let go, better odds than one wheel

I was under the impression that these white vans with cameras in the rear had a small hatch above the rear glass which the rearward equipment was directed through.

I've seen at least one van like this up towards Nuneaton.
