I think they may be useful for bikers thats all, with just relevant info on them, I don't see the harm in them. I carry enough ID that will get me enough help anyway. But I think it will be useful others thats all.

apart from on the race track that is! we have to wear one.

I remember one cheeky geezer a few years ago who turned up to a race meet with no licence. he was told he couldnt race but he somehow sneeked onto the track in a practice session and ended up having a major accident.

The paramedics got to him while he was out for the count and found he had no dog tags! he was there alone and nobody new who he was.....nightmare.

by the way, if you do it properly arent you supposed to tie one of the tags to one of your boots in case you get blown to bits

They were the ones that started wearing something external listing blod type/having an IV already inserted.
