You know I've been mubbling on about the clutch cable and not the trottle, but the loobing still applies, so ignore the worm drive bit. I had Jambo give me a hand with mine oiling it with a pressure cable oiler, it went from having a fixed cruise control throttle to one that was like a grease ferret, that had just had a bath in grease while skating on grease.

A new cable is only ?11, ok its baout ?30 if you buy both cables. In reality, you only need the one and its the one with the tab. |

I like to use Halfords "Nylon&Rubber lubricant" for cables, comes in aerosol. I think it's now called "Silicone lubricant for rubber and plastics", same stuff.
Ideally disconnect the cable at the top end. Make a small funnel arrangement from tin-foil or similar at the cable outer, hold with a rubber band, then squirt some lube in and work it up/down. Many cable sare nylon lined these days, and it seems to suit the application well in my experience.

Do the R6 throttle mod.
Then your bike is one step closer to greatness. |

The only way you can put a bike closer to greatness is by placing it near or under me.

You all wrong. SV's can only be transformed from "good bikes" to "great bikes" by the fitting of a Givi Monorack matched with a Givi Topbox.
Oh yes Matt |
