He's going to take a bit of rehab before I can entertain the idea of riding him... so if standing in a growbag with my tomatoes out in the rain during that time doesn't work - I hold you to that.

Put him in the horse-walker for the first time yesterday morning (think a big circular cage with motorised partitions - a la Conan )...


... ditsy begger took it all in his stride. Mooched in there like it was no big deal. Then it came to turning round and going the other way.
So he walks backwards for half a circuit before he twigs that it's easier to do a 180 and head the other way.

So - that's the first part of his exercise regime sorted, he can bimble round there for 30 mins each morning whilst I tidy his bed...

... my mornings are now, quite literally, poo.

What a fantastic horse, you lucky person.

My sis has always taken ex race horses, and they have proved very rewarding. I hope you are as persistent as her, you'll love experiencing the changes and knowing it's all down to you!

wow he/she/it is lookingmuch better now. not really a horsey person but my daughter loves them. she is trying to convince her dad to buy her a horse, after 10 years has given up asking me.
