That could well be the answer - I checked before going out that it had done over 100 miles to scrub in the tyres but didn't visually check them.

Ah well, at least it's just the money and you walk away, better than doing it to your own bike I suppose

Were you tempted by any of the bikes?

I had done 200m on mine and still had a massive slide on a slightly unscrubbed bit of tyre right at the edge the other day .

Could the tyres still have been cold as well, as I'm beginning to think that was a factor in my slide as well.

Ouch, unlucky Stu, atleast it wasn't the GSXR 750 (phew)

I don't think you should buy an R6 though, think its cursed.

.
Why I hadn't signed any insurance excess before I picked that up! The B-King was a £1,500 excess tho' and the BMWs that I hadn't got to yet were £2K

Did they let you take it out 'uninsured' or just without an excess? Anyway I think he means glad it was an R6 you wrote off not a GSX-R 750 at least that's how I read it!

Bu99er!! At least the only damage was to the bike and your wallet!

Best thing that could happen to an R6 IMO! Ugly things!
