Nothing wrong with cat C bikes I've owned a few. Use it to get a discount though. My main SV was a cat C and I paid 1200 for it with no T+T.

Also just because somethings HPI clear doesn't mean it's not crashed. Some people have been known to repair bikes without consulting their insurance company #shock...horror#

Get a whopping discount!

I bought my first sv for £1600 (K3, 5K miles, mint apart from a scuff on the R/H lower fairing) and I bought the second for £900 (K4, came with bend forks, scuffed front plastics otherwise good nick, 12K miles)

The K3 was recorded but the K4 wasn't.

Both were bargains so don't worry bout the previous damage. There's also no guarantee that a bike with a clean history on paper is as clean as you believe it to be!

The guy wasn't willing to go below £1500, plus he knew I was travelling a long way to view the bike so he had the upper hand.

I think I'm gonna wait for my license to come back, pop down to Fowlers and test ride an SV650 and GSF Bandit
