I have the "SUPER PRO" version, much like the abba, but uses the spikes like the NWS, so will mount just about anywhere, but the abba is a good bit of kit.

or of course there's always a centre stand for some of us.....

Yes I'm going to turn up some NWS style spikes to fit into the abba stand when I get round to it.

I have the basic Abba stand and whilst it's semi pricey, it is a great bit of kit and I would recommend it.

For lifting the front end I curently use a ratchet strap and the garage roof as my cheapo solution. I need to improve my technique with it though.

In fact when some little chav fell through the garage roof and knocked the bike over, it was the Abba stand that saved a lot of damage.

Have you tried using the rachet straps to hold the rear end down, as opposed to the front end up?

Of course, you can't work on both ends of the bike like that.
