hi all thanks for the welcomes.....

JHS was right next to my training centre were I done my das so i popped in to say hi and oggle what bikes they had so no doubt will be going back at some point.....

I bought an sv last night.....4 hour train to lincoln!!! good ride back though....

its a blue curvy x reg, 33000 miles, colour coded hugger/chain gaurd, alarm, heated grips, single seat cowl plus seat, viper end can, extenda fender, good (dunlop i think) tyres, full service history, all old MOT's/recipts etc, db screen (although clear so will be changing soon!!)...and i got it for an absolute bargain (hence quite a lot higher mileage than i would have liked, and a bit of corrosion around the engine but will be ok once got lowers)...

there are a cple of pics here http://s304.photobucket.com/albums/n...lue%20Bullett/

but these are just the ones of when it was being advertised so it needs a proper clean (and may spray the link pipes black with bbq paint)...then ill take some proper pics....if i remember corrctly there are compititions!!!

am away in newquay this weekend so the clean will have to wait!!...

cheers all

Looks good!

I would get a tube of autosol and get busy with the pipes rather than the bbq paint. Lot of elbow grease but you can get the show room shine back!

Welcome to the .org.
Nice bike...even if it is a curvy Might want to black out your reg plate on your pics though as it is an 'open' forum.
Enjoy the bike!

That bike you just bought is my old SV! I part-exhanged it with Greg about 3 weeks ago for my new RF900. I had it from 9000 miles all the way to the 33,000 it's now showing, it never missed a beat, excellent bike. Makes me miss it seeing it there, you live near me though so hopefully will see the old SV again on a rideout! Did he leave the heated grips on in the end by the way?
Hope you get along with her as well as I did!

Larry

EDIT The tyres are Dunlop D220's and they're what I always put on, they take a few miles to warm up but last for 4 or 5k miles.
