Because if the wiring is chaffing, then a live wire may have had the insulation worn off it and be shorting to earth on the frame. The most common cause of fuses blowing is a short circuit. If your fuses are blowing almost immediately then it is almost certainly a short circuit.

remove the blown fuse and connect a bulb across the terminals which will light if there is a short. then its just a case of disconnecting things till the bulb goes out and hey presto you found the faulty component mine was faulty front sidelamp bulb holders. the above method will make things very easy to locate the fault.. hope this helps jon |
