Though I do agree that it's a shame to cancel a rideout due to weather, perhaps unless it's monsoon season. Not many people like riding in very heavy rain.

it was a good decision ED - really..

mefinks only about 3 would have turned up and it has rained all afernoon here since i got in from work and I mean bouncing rain..

one good point.. no one has had an accident- all are safe!! maybe that would not be the case had they ventured out in the poor weather..

I'm sure the last thing Ed wanted to do was cancel, but the decision was the right one, the fact that it hasn't rained here is beside the point, the forecast was pretty horrible for today. The roads we were going on would have been dangerous even in light rain, being very tight and twisty in places. tis better to have cancelled than have someone through a hedge or a bike and rider sliding down the road. I know for a fact that this will be re arranged for a later date, be it this year or next. lets congratulate Ed for having the balls to cancel, it wasn't an easy decision but it was the correct one.

I wasnt disagreeing with the cancellation, the short ride I had was horrid, in some places my head felt like it was gonna be blown off, no way would 200+ miles have been fun. Right decision for safety was made good on ya hun !!!

I made the most of it as I was in the bike frame of mind fankoo x

Was a good decision ED, you only need to look at the number of posts where people were saying won't be coming because of the forecast. Nothing worse than turning up & finding no one there.
