Default Re: How do I get the grip off the throttle tube?

hey northwind....not tackled this as yet (time constraints and need the bike each day for work)....

but i could see where mr mechanic had a pop at getting the heated grip off and its sort of teared where the grip sits on the existing throttle tube...so im gonna have a go next weekend....

will try what lozzo said with the jnr hacksaw blade then prize it off with screwdriver / brake cleaner.....they are well and truly stuck on there!!!! "air duster" would this work if its been glued on? avalable at tesco???!!!

If it's glued on you need to break that first. I was thinking he'd got the grip off but couldn't get it onto the new tube, but obviously not.
