Getting my new k3 checked over at Saltire on Tuesday. They do a free 30 minute examination of the bike for me. At least I will know if its safe or not. I will then let them service it.

What do you do for £850 a day? Is it legal?

It's legal but maybe it shouldn't be

Used to be £1450 a day, but now I work for a sh1tty wee company who are not worth sueing if it all goes wrong, so I'm cheaper.

Thats what companies pay for IT Consultants. What a shame it doesn't go straight in my pocket!

Very nice! Do you guys reckon CJ's are best for tires? I'll be replacing mine soon and was thinking Jim Allan but i suppose it's down to what offers are on at the time. Now to decide on tire choice...

no no no not jim allens, I use saltire for the sake of a £10 for a set of tires is it worth the hassle to buy them elsewhere and have. To take them somewhere else for fitting.
Alternatively strathearn tires in crieff good prices tide in ride out and a nice run to boot.

Sorry but had a couple of bad experiances at ja's

Places with a bad rep like Jim Allan and Mikey Oates are probably best avoided, but neither or those will be cheapest anyway.

Otherwise, tyres are tyres, if you know what you want, go wherever is cheapest and most convenient for you.

Whether you are comfortable removing and refitting wheels or not makes a big difference to the price, you pay between £15 and £30 per wheel for ride in ride out fitting, whereas most places will fit to loose wheels for a fiver each so long as they sold you the tyres.

I have found C&J to be cheapest in the past, but for the tyres, maybe not once you factor in ride in ride out fitting, they wanted £25 a wheel last time.

Hamilton Motorcycles gave me a good price once, and they are only 5 minutes from my work, but we had a ride out on that weekend and they couldn't get the tyres on time.

Just phone around....
