Cool thats handy to know I'll give that go next time I give the GSXR a clean.

Degreasing where bearings live seems like a really silly idea to me.

Mine get stripped and regreased every couple of months anyway, so that's not really a bother. I'm seriuosly thinking of fitting some grease nipples on all the linkages to save the hassle of stripping them down.

Muc-off cleans oil? Didn't think so.

I have a hugger and a fender extender. It's the oil which is still on there from before I had the hugger.

The ONLY way to properly clean anything is to take it apart ...
borrow a paddock stand, get some wood and make up a stand

http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=119567

Then take it all off - degrease, clean, regrease and polish all relevant parts ( dog bones polish up rather nicely ) then replace cleaned parts etc.

Job done

Well ..... that's how I do it ... but I am a bit fussy.
