Cupar's have been consistently one of the best priced SV sellers for years- they were cheapest for a new bike when I was shopping for an SV in 2004, and pretty much ever since.

Thanks for the Cupar recommendations, I phoned them up yesterday and ordered myself up an SV650S. My main concern ordering it so early was picking the bike up which meant I was planning to ask Cupar's how long they would 'store' it for. However it's worked out really well as the bike won't arrive for around four weeks by which time I will have hopefully passed my test or almost there.

Very impressed with the service as Richard was very friendly over the phone, the receipt is here already plus he'll organise getting the bike taxed if I send down my insurance policy details.

as far as i'm concerned Cupar MC's are top notch. they are always on the ball with ordering parts, and my first service was exemplary, they even filled my scottoiler for free as part of the service and checked over my handy work, which included gsxr front end swap and gsxr rear shokky. as far as i know they are even honouring my warranty well that is apart from the goodies i have fitted. if i happen to leave a receipt while i'm in, they post it off to me (which i have a habit of doing). i have only ever heard a couple of bad words said about Cupar, but most of the time it's nothing but praise... they also do the service when they say they are going to do the service, none of this 'bring it in at 9am and we will give you a ring when its ready' malarkey.

His phone rings at the end of October and a voice says "Hello I'd like to buy a brand new SV650 please," I'll bet he was friendly!

Will we see you for ice cream?

Haha, I guess so...not always the case these days though as he didn't have to go out of his way to get the 400 off although it did guarantee him the sale.

I've my first lesson on a 400 and booked the practical test (at the advice of my instructor) for a couple of week's time. Hopefully I can pass it ok as that would be bang on for getting the SV although this is not a good time of year to be sitting a bike test with the unpredictable conditions. I can but try! Hopefully I will then be able to join up for the ice cream run
