Well you could always buy another frame, polish that and see how it looks.

The bit that worries me is the Cast part of the frame which is quite rough , that would take some serious amount of linishing to get smooth before you even polish . As far as Anodised parts go ....... phew that`s gonna take some doing as well . If it`s Hard Anodised then you would have to take 50 microns off the finish to get to bare alloy .

instead of polishing it why not paint it with some of that chrome paint? might be easier to get a uniform finish over the different surface finishes?
