You are scraping footpegs (which have already been raised) and you still have chicken strips? What tyres have you got on?

Conti Road Attacks with virtually no strips and I've never had a peg down!

+1
Contis with no strips and never a peg down. and I'm 20 stone in leathers.
Also rear preload on 4 on a curvy.
I can't even get the standard pegs down with SC Pros on and I'm really getting over then.
The Pirelli SC Pro's have a higher, rounder profile on the rear than the PR2 so maybe that's where the extra height comes from?

But I do hang off.

May be something else going on on top of the lack of hanging off.
Soggy shock? Maybe just the extra squat from not hanging off.

What tyre pressures are you running on the track?

yeh i am on standard dogbones. Tyre pressure is 30 front and rear when cold on the track.
maybe i should try conti road attacks instead of the pr2 next time and see what happens.

I would concentrate on going quicker and riding properly before worrying about how much 'chicken' strip you have left. One leads to the other naturally.

After all, you will get new tyres every 3.5-4k or so, and then you will need to start getting rid of them again

It's not really a thread about getting rid of chicken strips as much as why he has them AND pegs down.
