Why? Learn to ride one you've got.

very true but lost my confidence with this bike to be honest, so would rather get a new one.

ah, I saw your for sale thread, theres a lot of scuffing going on there isn't there. Thing is hun, if you keep up with the servicing(thats really important as I've found out) your back of the mind feelings will go away. One of my SVs has always given me the back of the mnd feelings since the day i bought it...but i tell you what its the most reliable out of the two....even after crashing it, it still lives, so I'm prepared to forgive it, and give its rear end a face lift in the new year, as the rear caliper is seized on one side, the subframe needs powdercoating, the rear shock replacing and some braided hoses on the front.
I've found with the other one especially, if yor not prepared to fork out to keep it in order, you'll end up getting burnt...and buy another bike..that your still not happy with

Will be at the back of your mind on any bike that isn't brand spankin' new. Wouldn't ditch an SV to get another SV just cos of brakes. (though if you wanted something different)

Once brakes serviced they done. Nothing else to worry about.

well apart from wheel bearings, steering head bearings, chain etc
