Mines been fine for 3 years now, the only thing I can say is clean them like you would a normal visor. As most of the time the extra glare that people think they are getting is normally grease and dirt on the 'in-side' of the visor.

I'm not sure I'd like the blue one in the dark. Mine is yellow, works a charm. There's science involved, different vision tints do have some interesting physical and psychological effects apparently. I don't know much about it, but I've read that competition cyclists often wear blue sunglasses on gloomy days because it gives a mental boost (the sky looks cheerful and blue) for instance, and the yellow/light green at night thing seems to be true.

Persimmon or the yellow colour does increase depth perception and visibility in low light conditions (skiers know this all too well) and the blue is designed to reduce glare in bright conditions (it also makes the day feel brighter).

I would say buy one - I'd be extremely surprised if you're disappointed.

Nothing for darkness then, it would also be interesting to no of there legality at night. I am sure they will remain in the loop hole as they are on the inside of the visor, but what would an investigator say after an accident?

The one that changes colour is almost clear at night.

Just as a bye the bye i got some of that antifog stuff at the nec. Bloody brill on the visor. Rubbish on the glasses. But worth it imo. Im just using the fog city as a tint now due to the glur giving up the ghost around the edges.

Must be a newer design then, the original had a green tinge when so called clear and blue when so called tinted.

TBH I'm not entirely sure, an investigator may have reason to question it if he/she believed it a contributing factor in an accident. However as you say it's inside the visor, the tint isn't opaque and is in reality no more than many factory tinted car windows, i.e. 10% (I think).

The main advantage is (in my experience) no fogging at all. The light reaction I feel is a benefit and aids my vision rather than hinders it. Granted it doesn't do anything to increase night vision, but it doesn't hinder it either, therefore in my view is no worse than a regular visor.

You can probably tell I rate these thing's pretty highly.

If we meet at the AR Dave, you're more than welcome to give it a go and make your own call.
