Do the Datatool's not have there own battery built in like the Meta's? If so you can leave it for a while on that whilst you charge up the bikes battery.
I would recommend you get an Optimate (or similar), they also come with a lead so will not need to remove the front seat anymore. ![]() |

Its the low current that the trickle chargers produce at the beginning that make them better for alarms, rather than the full whack from a basic charger as far as I am aware.
